Well, if you are a mathematical genius who can keep a count of the cards after every move, the odds will mostly be in your favor.

The game can be played with a single deck as well as multiple decks. Each card is assigned a pre-designated value or a score. After each deck gets over, the dealer will shuffle the next set of cards and deal again with the same method. Cards from 1 to 10 denote their pip value. The face cards – Jack, Queen, and King, are valued at 10. However, for an Ace, it is up to each individual to count it as 1 or 11.

The objective for any participant in a Blackjack game is to attempt to beat the dealer by getting a count as close to 21 as possible. And if you get 21, that is called a Blackjack. Step 1 – Place Your Bet

Before the game begins, a player must place a bet between the minimum value and all-in, i.e. with all your chips.

Step 2 – Collect Your Cards

The dealer then shuffles the deck and gives you two cards while revealing one of his cards face up.

Step 3 – Raise Your Bet

Based on the face-up card, you can now either raise your bet by doubling it or split your bet if you get two cards of the same value.

Step 4 – Consider the Hit

Whether you raise the bet or not, you will get an option to add more cards by choosing Hit. If your total is low, you can add a card and try to reach as close to 21 as possible. However, you will lose automatically if the value of your cards exceeds 21.

Step 5 – Take the Stand

Once you are ready to play your hand, click Stand. The dealer will now reveal his hidden card. However, if the dealer’s score is less than 16, he must always hit and take another card.

Step 6 – Settle the Hand

If the total of your hand is greater than that of the dealer, you win. You will lose the Blackjack card game if you have a lower score than the dealer or get busted if the total of your cards exceeds 21.

Blackjack Rules

There isn’t much difference between a Blackjack Online Casino game or a regular casino Blackjack game. The game is fairly simple with only a few Blackjack Rules for you to keep in mind. Staying true to our name, FairPlay has spelt out the major rules of the game below so that you go into your next round with a dash of confidence.

Each player must place a bet before the deal begins. The bet can be anything between a minimum value and all-in. Once placed, the game proceeds towards shuffling of the deck.

Once the bets are placed and the deck is shuffled, the participant and the dealer both receive a card that is face up. The second card is dealt the same way to the player; however, the dealer’s second card is placed face down. The dealer can peek at the second card only if the first card is an Ace or has a value of 10. If the total count comes to 21 at this point for the dealer, it’s a blackjack and the game is over. The player can always ask for another card, till he or she reaches closer to 21. If the player exceeds 21, it is a bust and the player loses.

If a player’s first two cards are of the same number, such as two Sixes or two Jacks, they may choose to split the hand in two. In addition to the original bet, the player must place an equal amount of bet on the other card now. The two hands are now treated separately, and winning doesn’t imply that you will be winning both.

The player can also double the bet when the original two cards total up to 9,10, or 11. Once doubled, the dealer gives the player just one card which is placed face down and is turned up only after the bets are settled at the end of the hand. Please note that the dealer, however, can neither split his hand nor double down his bet during the game.

If both the player and dealer have 21, i.e., a standoff, no one wins or loses, and no chips are paid out or collected. If the player gets a 10 and an ace after a split, the hand is not called a blackjack but is still counted as 21. Whoever gets the closest to 21 wins., while whoever has less or more than 21 loses or gets busted.
